The High Line, Again

highline1

From the beginning of April, again. It was around 9 or 10 miles to walk to the High Line, down to Gansevoort, over to Strand, and then all the way back again. This is, quite literally, the end of the High Line. It’s even past the stairs to street level. We were a little too early for bloom, but it was still decently crowded in the afternoon. Anyway, even if we didn’t have flowers, we had skyline.

The High Line runs from Gansevoort Street to 34th Street on the West Side of Manhattan in New York City. The public park follows along a path of old train rails, revitalized by new design, greenery, art, and stunning views. The first stage opened in 2009, and was completed in 2014. The park opens at 7 AM daily, with closing hours dependent on the season, early in the winter and later in summer.
