Phoenix Park

Just a picture of my feet in some grass. Yeah, there’s plenty of that here, isn’t there? But look, this is Irish grass. I’ve spent a very limited amount of time outside of the US, but Ireland was by far the furthest. We went to march in the St Patrick’s Day Parade in 2010. This was one of our free days and somehow a few of us ended up in Phoenix Park. This happens to be near the Wellington Testimonial. It was something of a grey day, but it didn’t rain and it was lovely. Truly a fantastic trip and very much worth it, if you ever get the chance. I’m just saying.

The Wellington Testimonial is an obelisk located in Phoenix Park, Dublin, Ireland. It stands as a monument to the first Duke of Wellington. It is the tallest obelisk in Europe.
