Willis Tower

On the 103rd floor of the Willis Tower in Chicago with K, October 2012. I guess you could say Chicago started our travel bug – and in that case, we can trace it back to my adoration for Stark Sands. This trip was my chance to see him in person, with the previews for Kinky Boots. The tower was about all we did the day of the show, but the next day we also had a little wander around Navy Pier and down by the water. There’s still so much to Chicago that I haven’t gotten to see yet, though. (Also, I have no idea whose face that is in the reflection – I’ve only just noticed, anyway.)

The Willis Tower, named the Sears Tower until 2009, is the second tallest skyscraper in the United States. The 103rd floor hosts the Skydeck where visitors can stand out on “The Ledge,” glass boxes providing views of the city beneath your feet. The Skydeck is open to the public 365 days a year.
