Ford’s Theatre

dcfords1 Sitting on the steps outside Ford’s Theatre with Mom standing on the sidewalk. Spent the wait to get into Hard Rock, conveniently, perhaps terribly, placed right next to the theatre, here, next to little T. A happier memory for a tragic place.

Ford’s Theatre was established via lease in 1861, closing after the assassination of President Lincoln on April 14th, 1865. The site reopened as a National Historic Site and still continues live performances in addition to providing education on the assassinated President today. It is located on 10th street in Washington, DC.
